Street Sync Dance Company is under the direction of Raven Cheeks, a seasoned choreographer and professional dancer with over 20 years of experience. Recognized for her exceptional talent, Ms. C has garnered acclaim as an Award-Winning Choreographer and Professional Dancer. Passionate about nurturing young talent, she actively collaborates with various organizations to provide enriching experiences in the realm of fine arts.

Raven's journey in dance commenced at the age of 6 at Burris Elementary School, where she delved into Jazz, Lyrical, Praise, and Modern styles. She further honed her skills at the After School Houston Ballet Program at Marshall Middle School, where her prowess earned her the title of Soloist. Continuing her education, she immersed herself in the renowned Debbie Allen Intensive Dance program. Notably, in high school, Raven made history as the first African American Dance Captain for the Jefferson Davis Pantherettes.

A graduate of Sam Houston State University with a Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication, Raven Cheeks served as the Dance Director of the Fade to Black Dance Ensemble chapter at SHSU. Proficient in a diverse array of styles including Hip-hop, Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Modern, and Praise Dance, she is a versatile and sought-after dance instructor. Her repertoire of award-winning choreography spans stage productions, competition routines, professional performances, clinics, and workshops, showcasing her remarkable creativity and artistry.
